Capacity slide valve actuator replacement on a Vilter Single Screw compressor for our customer's food processing facility.
The compressor tripped on a capacity slide valve position alarm. When the actuator would not move the command shaft and allow us to go through the calibration process, we were able to further troubleshoot the issue & discovered the actuator had a capacitor that failed.
We will soon be working with this customer to develop a more proactive approach to maintaining their equipment, performing “preventative maintenance” tasks on their Ammonia / Glycol chiller system.
